According to a recent report released by the CDC\, a history of trauma is an indicator of increased mortality rates and mental health challenges. \nThis compassionate and useful training will provide an understanding of trauma and PTSD from both the Western and Eastern perspective\, including PolyVagal theory and the Gunas. DESCRIPTION:New Year’s Day Retreat\nWatch the Replay\n\nTransitional times offer the opportunity for reflection and the choice to move in a new direction\, a “fork in the road” if you will. New Year’s Day is one of the obvious times in our calendar. We set our New Year’s Resolutions\, work hard for a couple of weeks and then as life moves in\, they fall away. We may never pick them up again\, or we find ourselves in a state of shame over the things we did not accomplish\, again. There is another way. \nUsing breathing techniques\, we will begin the process of releasing the residue of the past year. From there\, we will use mudrās\, yoga poses\, and mantras to channel the energy needed to manifest our visions for the coming year.
