Asana means “to be and to breathe and to become one with the eternal cosmic vibration” (Rama Jyoti Vernon). It is so much more than simply putting the body in different positions. When we are breathing to become one, we realize our true nature – that we are so much more than our current situation.
Research shows that yoga can help alleviate the effects of depression and anxiety. In this program, Rose Kress shows you how to enhance those effects by using specific yoga postures that soothe anxiety or elevate depression LifeForce Yoga uses techniques that incorporate mantra, pranayama, bhavana (visualization), and dhyana (meditation) into the posture flow. The practice includes:
- An exploration of certain postures’ effect on mood
- Poses that awaken, calm, and balance energy
- Sound, hand gestures, and breathwork
- Meditation and visualization.
