Accessible Yoga Conference San Francisco 2017
October 6 - October 8
Join Rose Kress and LifeForce Yoga in San Francisco!
LifeForce Yoga combines ancient yogic techniques that are informed by current research to support students in managing anxiety, depression, feelings of loss, stress, low self-esteem, and trauma. The tools are accessible; they do not require a yoga mat for practice and/or can be woven into a yoga mat practice.
During this workshop you will practice:
Breathing techniques to energize (pranayama)
Sound techniques to calm (mantra)
Visualization for goal setting (bhavana)
Hand gestures (mudra)
Meditation techniques to anchor the awareness
Recommended Reading: Yoga for Depression by Amy Weintraub (Broadway Books)
Required Practice: LifeForce Yoga DVDs & CDs

All Yoga students and teachers are welcome. Join the world’s leading adaptive Yoga teachers for a weekend of education, community-building, and inspiration. The mission of the Accessible Yoga Conference is to provide a forum where the Yoga community can come together to connect, share, and support those who wish to expand access to the Yoga teachings for people with disabilities, chronic illness, seniors, and people who may not feel comfortable in a regular yoga class.
Join us for a weekend program which includes asana classes, workshops, and panel discussions with senior Yoga teachers on a variety of topics related to increasing access to Yoga. Topics range from adapting poses to community building. You’ll also get a preview of the Teacher Training programs offered by conference faculty.
